We have had our fair share of financial disasters, bad investments and woeful "financial advisors" who just want to sell you some rubbish product from Skandia because it gets them the biggest commission. We had just about decided to keep what money we have under our bed, when I ran across Simon Cooke from Intelligent Investments. Very different approach: Completely upfront on what financial products cost, and where he makes his money and unusually prepared to recommend products that clearly do not have the highest commission to him. Refreshing long term approach to his customers, and although I never thought I could ever recommend a "financial advisor", Simon and Intelligent Investments are easily the best I have dealt with.

My old dive club and still going strong. A very active and very social club that does loads of diving, socialising and even has an annual ski-trip each winter. Look them up if you live in London and are looking for a fun crowd for a drink or someone to swap your diving stories with who won't yawn and pretend that he has to get home to catch to put the cat out.
